Job Description: We are currently seeking talented and passionate Chefs and Line Cooks to join our culinary team at Tilghman Island Inn. The ideal candidates should possess a strong culinary background, demonstrate exceptional culinary skills, and have a genuine passion for creating outstanding dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and sous chefs to plan and prepare menu items that reflect the inn’s culinary vision.
  • Execute daily food preparation, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to guests.
  • Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas to enhance the culinary offerings.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Line Cook in a reputable establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
